RAMBLING WITH REASON
A commission for Outsiders Store and Patagonia
Marking 90 years since the 1932 Kinder Mass Trespass, Rambling with Reason honours the radical footsteps of those who walked for access—and the land they walked upon. With words by Nick Heyes, author of The Book of Trespass, and Martin Porter, grandson of one of the original trespassers, this work reaffirms a powerful message: the countryside is not a commodity, but a common.
Created in support of the Right to Roam campaign, this project calls for a new contract with the land—one that resists industrial exploitation and reclaims our right to protect, care for, and walk freely within it.
The cyanotypes are printed on sustainably produced paper, made from elemental chlorine-free pulp and spent brewer’s grain—materials that speak to renewal, resourcefulness, and resistance.
